Georgetown County is located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of South Carolina. It has an elevation range from sea level to about 107 feet (32.6 meters) above sea level. The highest point in the county is located in the town of Andrews and is known as the Andrews Altitude Benchmark, with an elevation of 107 feet (32.6 meters). The lowest point in the county is at sea level where the county meets the Atlantic Ocean. The majority of the county has an elevation of less than 50 feet (15 meters) above sea level, making it prone to flooding during heavy rainfall. The elevation of Georgetown County generally increases as you move further inland from the coast towards the western edge of the county.
